A long shot, but sometimes social media can do incredible things.
My auntie is about to celebrate her 53rd birthday.
Last year, she was diagnosed with amyloidosis, a rare disease that causes abnormal proteins to build up in organs and stop them from working properly. She’s now receiving end-of-life care.
Despite everything, she’s lived to meet her first grandson, celebrate her mum’s 80th birthday, and reach another birthday of her own.
Her favourite bands are @takethat and @westlifemusic
If anyone can help this reach them, a simple birthday message would mean the world to her ❤️

Stumbled across screenshots from 14 years ago — a GitLab fork I hacked together right before I got into Laravel. One click spun up directories, a MySQL DB random password, .gitignore, initial commit, and a live URL.
Template options included Twitter Bootstrap, HTML5 Boilerplate (with CSS resets, naturally), and my very own "Dotsquare MVC Framework." A little PaaS before that was a thing. Fun times.

Last week we came one routine maintenance run away from crashing every app server in our self-serve fleet.
All because of a hastily patched Linux kernel that introduced a regression worse than the CVE it was fixing.
It got me thinking about how the current spike in CVEs is going to affect us in more ways than just security.
