Last Thursday at #AcademieLafayette we read “Danza” by Duncan Tonatiuh and played Moving Patterns by @mathinyourfeet. Mathapalooza Reading Night at Mexico station! Great combo!

Today in Calc... Heated discussion over limit challenges posed between groups. Eventually argument got resolved to applause from winning team. Losing team will not forget their initial conceptual mistake. Love my students enthusiasm at lunchtime on a Friday! #MathTrhoughPlay

More testing of magnetic toys. This #Goobi contruction set is my new favorite. Light, long, colorful, and strong sticks. Good magnets. There are interesting joints that we’ll report on tomorrow.

#Maththroughplay #math Have been trying to find some good large magnet sticks to build with (and eliminate the stress about little kids swallowing magnets). Sadly, these are not what I was hoping for, magnets are to weak, structures too unstable. Ideas?
