#JustForFunScaleModels #JFFLetterB I've made a start on the Thunderbolt, using Eduard's detail set with 3d decals and PE, they make a massive difference.

Can you all add this hashtag to every post #JustForFunScaleModels (bit long winded but necessary) a search of this hashtag will open a separate timeline which will show every post using it. Once the community closes 30th May it will keep us all together . Please RT far and wide

I finished Trumpeter's 1/144 HMS Astuste. It's a big beast, ~70cm long. Reference pics of this boat look fairly dirty so I tried to mess it up a bit rather than an even finish. I think it might need another flat coat though. It could even count as #JFFLetterB as it's a suB.

In preparation for this I unboxed it to take a look. The deck area is much bigger than I thought so it's going back in the stash until I get more display space. Instead, I'll do Tamiya's P-47 ThunderBolt RazorBack (w/ BomBs) for #JFFLetterB
#jffletterb does this count? It's by Border, it's of the bridge, and there's probably some bombs and bullets in there somewhere.

My first for #JFFCancerResearch is this racing version of Bandai's N1 starfighter. I made the team logo and found the designs for the sponsors online. I printed them myself onto white backed decal paper.

Finished the Greif. I stuck with the decals although you can't see most of them due to the squiggles. A fun build, mostly went together easily.

Happy New Year everyone! My (1st?) entry for #JFFCancerResearch, should be a quick build and a nice start for 2026. I'm going to see if I can get inspired for a different paint job though, I saw one that looked like it was from WipEout, that'd be fun.

Only 4 builds completed in 2025, although 1 got shelved and another one nearly done but probably won't get over the line before the end of the month.

Progress with the squiggles on the Greif. Doesn't look too bad so far.

WIP on the Greif and what I'm going to try with it, wings aren't glued yet to make painting easier. I hope it doesn't live up to its name now. The shades of green seem switched but I followed the guide and this is how it's come out, it won't matter under the wellenmuster

A disappointing evening on the bench yesterday led to me parking and nearly binning Minibase's Flanker. Detail is incredible but fragile 3d printed parts & fiddly assembly make it a real mojo killer. Could probably do wheels up but I need a break from it.

In a change from my usual output, I've had a go at my first figure, Richard Sharpe. I quite enjoyed the fiddlyness of the paint job and might do more. I definitely need to practise faces.

Because trying to track down the Halcyon kit was impossible, I got this 3d printed version from Ebay. I used AK markers for the details, some old decals and holographic film for the cockpit. The arms do fold in for storage as otherwise it's quite big on the shelf.

My first car build, Tamiya's Porsche GT. It turned out trickier than I thought as the chassis might have warped (or my cludgy building) so the top didn't quite fit how I expected it to. Decals were easier than I thought they'd be though. Overall I'm happy with it.
