Enums in PHP 8.1 are pretty slick. Using backed enums along with enum methods make polymorphic factories really nice and simple.

I’ve declared that I’m going to start doing automated testing for all of my code several times, yet I’ve never been able to actual accomplish it.

It seems to me, that one must just “do it”, and deal with less code output during the learning curve. A large part of it seems to be a mental barrier, and I’m not quite sure how to overcome it.
