Absolute implosion from Ruan Ackermann. Deserved red card. And also ridiculous to give Moerat a yellow card for that. Could not even see Gibson-Park, trapped on the ground and Gibson-Park passed the ball into his raised leg. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Second in the EPL three years in a row. Now Champions. UCL semis last year, finalists this year. Ignore the haters @Arsenal That is an extraordinary achievement and one of which many others are understandably jealous. 🔴🔴🔴

Devastated to hear of Scott Hastings' passing. One of rugby's most likeable characters, always so welcoming and kind. Love and condolences to Gavin and the whole Hastings clan. So loved this chat with Scott and Shim when we were last in Edinburgh. youtube.com/watch?v=7-rt9aZk…

It's amazing. Have not seen a single West Ham supporter complaining about Spurs not being awarded a penalty by VAR after contact in the area in their match against Leeds. Complete silence, nothing. 😉😉

Inconsistency seems to apply to the story line as well. Taking account of just two incidents that apparently favour AFC... what of those that have clearly undermined them? Being top of the toughest league in the world & in ECL final takes a lot more than the odd decision from VAR
✍️ 'Study the first league goal that Arsenal scored last August, at Old Trafford. William Saliba was elbowing and obstructing Altay Bayindir, but still Riccardo Calafiori’s goal was allowed to stand, without any VAR review,' writes @oliverbrown_tel. 'The inconsistent officiating lies at the core of the controversy.' Read the column ⬇️ telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Agreed! The Red Course at The Berkshire is one of my favourite courses precisely because of this configuration 👍🏼
Have we ever had the discussion on why golf courses don’t have 6 par 3’s, 6 par 4’s and 6 par 5’s To me it makes a lot of sense, and I think par 3’s and par 5’s are some of the best holes on a lot of courses and having more of them makes courses more fun, and have more variety

The most important word in here, Oom, is 'contests'. The sport is defined by them and any attempt to remove the variety of contests within the game - all of which help to create the 'space' WR desires - should be strongly opposed IMHO.

What a wonderful post this is among all the nonsense that gets aired here so often. A Dad and his son creating memories for a lifetime around a sport they love. So special 🙏🙏

Had the most INCREDIBLE trip with my buddy. We’ve laughed, we’ve been daft, we’ve seen so many wonderful sites. It’s been special to spend this time with him. A trip that we’ll never forget. It’s been a privilege and I’m a very, very lucky dad to have this wee guy as my son.

Why? Because Ireland are bad at contesting in the air? France were brilliant at regaining kicks and creating a platform to attack off them.
Any chance box-kicking could be banned?#FRAvIRE

Contrary to the lazy narrative coming from some quarters, the aerial contest in this game has been a fabulous… contest! Not led to more scrums but more attacking opportunities off regained possession. Brilliant execution by France #FRAvIRL

Honestly no disrespect to those who cast their votes for the man of the match award in Cape Town this evening, but personally thought Jeandre Rudolph was a cut above. Massive work rate and three turnovers. Strange, tense, mistake-ridden game, but entertaining in its own way!

So winners of Pool A and Pool B - assuming they win their Round of 16 matches - will meet in the quarter-finals. So if @Springboks win Pool B, they should meet NZ or Australia in the QF of @rugbyworldcup @SSRugby

Bless Bernard Jackman 🙏
Some of the reactionary punditry to the Springboks awesome display of forward power Saturday is hard to take seriously. I would hate to see the scrum depowered and the Irish players and coaches will be the same. Just because one team is brilliant in one area why would you dumb it down rather than everyone strive to get better🙈
