The next stop on the journey. Thrilled to share that I’ve accepted a sports anchor/reporter job at WMC Action News 5 in Memphis. I’m pumped to join a legacy station in Tennessee covering all things Grizzlies, Tigers, and much more in the Mid-South.

Has a quote ever aged more poorly in the history of sports? Not only did the Knicks win the title—a key part of it was clearly their chemistry and connection as a group being off the charts. Danny Green got some of the worst intel on the planet.
Danny Green, a three-time NBA champ (who won a title with OG Anunoby), backed off his prediction of Knicks winning the East because of “rumblings” of a fractured team. Here’s what Green said in media conference call yesterday with ESPN, where he works as an analyst: “Simply because the fact that the Knicks this year, especially late in the season, they looked very up-and-down. They looked like they were disconnected; the chemistry wasn't there. There are rumblings about some guys don't like Mike Brown or work with the coaches. There are rumblings that some guys are feeling they're not getting touches or there's over usage of Jalen Brunson. That seems to me like a team that could self-implode.”

The end of the line for Ole Miss in Omaha. The Rebels take a 6-2 lead, but Troy storms back to win an elimination game 12-8 and send Hotty Toddy packing.

It's hilarious to look back at the quotes and how he carried himself the entire series considering the entire team--especially him, peed down their legs during winning time almost every night. They clearly weren't ready and didn't have the appropriate respect for the Knicks.
Wemby on if the Spurs believe they can come back and win the Finals: "Everybody knows we're gonna do it."

Considering the Basketball Hall of Fame also takes collegiate accomplishments into consideration… I think Jalen Brunson cemented himself as a Hall of Famer last night as well.

That’s not even counting the ancillary moves like signing Shamet, trading for Alvarado at the deadline this year. And a lot of these moves were much maligned by the general public when they happened. He was right on every single one of them.

He’s gonna fly under the radar but I’m extremely happy for him. Forever was a “good, but not good enough” coach. I wasn’t a fan of the hire when it happened, I was dead wrong. He was EXACTLY what this team needed.

I re-watched the fourth quarter of last night. Holy hell I almost can’t believe how bad De’Aaron Fox was. Invite him to the parade for sure.

Good to see they analytically won the series just like the Cavs. They can both schedule their parades after the Knicks are done with theirs for actually winning the championship.
According to ESPN Analytics, in the 4 games the Spurs lost in the NBA Finals, they had a... — 91.6% chance of winning Game 1 up 13 points midway thru the 3rd — 72.8% chance of winning Game 2 up 2 points with 1 minute left in the 4th — 99.6% chance of winning Game 4 up 20 points with 9:33 left in the 4th — 95.4% chance of winning Game 5 up 10 points with 7:54 left in the 4th

There are no words for this, and that was true before tonight. But given it now led to a ring two seasons later, it’s one of the greatest sacrifices made in the name of winning in the history of sports. Iconic doesn’t even begin to describe it.
In a largely unprecedented financial concession to give roster flexibility to a contender, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson has agreed on a four-year, $156.5 million extension, his agent Sam Rose of CAA tells ESPN --- $113M less guaranteed than he’s eligible to receive in one year.

Lost two games to the Hawks and promptly turned into one of the greatest playoff teams in NBA history. It’s crazy to wrap your head around. What an incredible ride.
