Remembering a true legend 🕊️ Casey Kasem was a beloved voice actor, radio icon, and broadcaster whose warm delivery, unmistakable voice, and heartfelt presence helped define generations of animation, music countdowns, and Saturday morning memories. Some of his most notable roles include: • Shaggy Rogers (Scooby-Doo Franchise) • Robin / Dick Grayson (Super Friends) • Cliffjumper (The Transformers) • Bluestreak (The Transformers) • Teletraan I (The Transformers) • Mark (Battle of the Planets) • Alexander Cabot III (Josie and the Pussycats) • Merry Brandybuck (The Return of the King) • Peter Cottontail (Here Comes Peter Cottontail) And many more! Beyond animation, Casey Kasem became a radio legend as the voice of American Top 40, where his famous sign-off, “Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars,” became part of pop culture history. He passed away on June 15, 2014, at 82 years old. Though he is no longer with us, his voice continues to live on through the characters, broadcasts, and memories he gave to millions of fans around the world. Rest in peace, Casey Kasem 🕯️

BTW, if I had to guess, this is likely gonna be Viz releasing those Shogakukan Asia versions of #DetectiveConan that have their same manga style but with all the original names here in the States.

Case Closed is finally dead. Long live Detective Conan. I sometimes forget that the Viz Manga was the last hold out for the Case Closed names.

This is a huger deal than I think people give it credit for

which will get more people into the series and the love for it to grow! They won’t feel intimidated. I love the old funimation dub so much it’s special to me. I always post clips here about it and triva in a lot of my nostalgia series posts here 😊

At AnimeExpo 2025, I made a pie in the sky request to the @VIZMedia booth - now that @tmsanime was shedding "Case Closed", if Viz would reprint the manga as Detective Conan with the original names, I'll be the 1st in line to rebuy the series. Time to put my $ where my mouth is.
