You may have never voted for a Democrat before but if you are a teacher or coach in Texas, nobody stood taller for you than @jamestalarico in the last 2 state sessions. There were a few house republicans who also stood up but they were primaried out by the top state leaders 2 years ago. Many in the Republican party at the state level needlessly attacked you to gain support for ESAs. ESAs could have passed without those attacks, but the attacks made it easier. As a lifelong conservative voter this was hard to stomach. Thankfully some of those guys were defeated yesterday. But always during the attacks Talarico was there for educators. These last 4 years have given me a lot to think about in terms of how I will vote. I have not changed how I feel about things, but no single party gets my vote automatically anymore. I’ll enjoy watching this Texas Senate base and listening to the candidates.

The Lufkin Sideliners Booster Club donated wireless camera equipment upgrades to the Lufkin High School CTE department. The new equipment will be operated by Packtron student workers and will enhance the Friday night experience for everyone in the community.
