Perhaps the greatest compliment that someone can be paid, is to be complimented by your colleagues. Serving alongside @BradRossComms was an absolute highlight. His wisdom, strategic acumen & relentless sense of humour are things I will forever be thankful for. Thank you sir!

Pulling the door closed on this office, for one last time, is surreal. Thank you @Toronto_Fire and @TPFFA for the privilege of serving alongside you for the past 11 years - and the last 8 as Chief. With gratitude and respect.

My friend, few know better than you how daunting a task it is to make me speechless! You have achieved that with your humbling post. It has been nothing less than an honour and privilege to work alongside you - and especially to call you my friend.

I am relieved to advise that our officer’s injuries are serious, but not life-threatening. I was joined tonight at the hospital by Deputy Chief Lauren Pogue and other police officers to support him and his family. This is the 637th officer injured in the line of duty so far this year and a sobering reminder of the risks our officers face every day as they serve and protect our great city.
OFFICER SHOT: Yonge St & Eglinton Ave 5:30pm - officers conducting an investigation and stopped a vehicle - one officer shot and taken to hospital via emerg run - one person arrested on scene - one person still outstanding - more information to come #GO2161068 ^se

Two years ago today, one of the bravest & kindest people I’ve known was murdered in a cowardly and senseless act of violence. @TorontoPolice Constable Andrew Hong, or “Honger” as I knew him, was my friend and was larger than life. Rest easy Honger. You are missed. #HeroesInLife
