#Cristina muy debilitada forma parte de un extenso Giro Monzónico o Central American Gyre (amplia circulación de humedad) lo cual genera fuerte ingreso de humedad al país y tormentas fuertes hasta en el norte. Su desplazamiento será hacia el noroeste y podría llegar al país como Depresión Tropical o fuerte baja presión el día de mañana lo que permitirá arrastre de humedad del Pacífico y potencial de lluvias en el centro, sur, occidente y Verapaces, algunas muy intensas con altos acumulados de lluvia y aún sigue la probabilidad de un corto temporal mañana y parte del viernes. La circulación de humedad al interactuar con las montañas descarga fuertes aguaceros en corto tiempo, mientras en otros sectores lluvias constantes leves a moderadas por horas. El giro monzónico también genera un sistema de baja presión con 10% de probabilidad de ser ciclón tropical que se trasladará al Golfo de México. Cristina ha sido muy rebelde y ha sido extremadamente difícil de pronosticar. Se deben monitorear constantemente las condiciones ya que súbitamente puede crear violentos aguaceros como los registrados en suroccidente con acumulados de hasta 186mm en el sur de Quetzaltenango.
