When I left the arena after Game 6 Thursday, I had a great feeling that I would be seeing @MattyCord again next week. I didn’t want to jinx anything so I said “I’ll see you soon.”
As happy as I am, Matt Cord deserves this. The legendary Sixers PA announcer is retiring after 28 seasons.
He won us over with his energetic style including iconic intros for Allen Iverson “A 6-foot guard from Georgetown” and “Joel The Process Embiid”
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE MATT ON FRIDAY FOR GAME 3.

After 28 years as the PA announcer for the @sixers I’m officially retiring at the end of the season. I’ve had the best seat in the house announcing for the best fans in the world. Thank you to the players and the 76ers organization. What a privilege it’s been.
