"So the first Gresley Pacific design never proceeded beyond the paper stage. For the sake of Gresley's reputation, this is probably just as well, for the curious combination of Ivatt with Churchward was very unlikely to have achieved the outstanding success" - Cecil J. Allen

The no faces off Sodor thing was only an explanation for his model railways really, it doesn't really apply in the books - especially when we regularly see engines with faces at Barrow, in London and other places in the UK.
Ima be real guys….. i don’t really have a problem with the Faces only on Sodor due to the magic tunnel thing. The entirety of the original show was Magical since TATMR What’s been described matches up with Awdry’s first explanation on why the engines were alive.

Well, uhhhhhh... I mean, I suppose I correctly guessed the cheekbones and the lack of wrinkles?
Not exactly an artist here, but this is my (really rough) guess on what this face might look like from the front.

It seems I must make a slight amendment to the quoted tweet: You two also probably got screwed over by the publishers, but I forgot to even consider that because you at least got the chance to speak more than once 💀💔
Forever doomed to be called nothingburger potential men because the publishers got too lost in the TV series sauce 💔

Crazy to think that Bachmann could've been announcing Jinty and Pug models this year if they had shown up in season 21
Percy, Jinty and Pug would have been such a banger episode Percy in a more uniquely boastful role? Jinty and Pug? A very classic RWS/model series type ending where the main lead gets embarrassed for being a dumbass? God we were robbed

I don't get why, in recent years, people have started disliking how much fan content there is surrounding them. It's not often that the brand has such blank slates like these engines, of course people are gonna wanna take a crack at making their own interpretations of them!
Replying to @FlashSapp_375
Unpopular opinion on RWS loaned engine takes? (Again, no Alf*ed mentions. Instant block)

Fun fact this video reminded me that this was a texture I left in the facepack

And before anyone asks, yes, that face was always meant to be a part of the final released version of the Ethel model. I thought it was funny. The bellsound, however... yeah, I'll admit that was genuinely something I forgot to replace for the model's public release, oops!

However, I DON'T actually regret accidentally leaving it in the final release, because it ended up being really funny seeing some people get weirdly upset over Ethel's bellsound being rap music.

Sometimes I think about a universe where Chris Awdry didn't get screwed over by the publishers every single step of the way during his tenure as author of the RWS and I silently weep

Meant to announce this yesterday for the RWS's 81st, but one of them fell down a mine, so that kind of delayed things a bit. Oh well, better late than never! Pilot Thomas (V2) and Pilot Gordon are now available for download on Ravenshire Works! thetardisexpress.wixsite.com…

HEADS UP: Anyone who's downloaded Pilot Gordon should redownload him. I was informed of an issue regarding his bogies, which I've now fixed as best as I can

Models, as usual, were exported by @/the_mega_derp, but an additional thanks goes out to @/guiguiba131 for the S1 bracing face that Thomas uses
