You’re not training your body. You’re training the next version of you.
Right now my son and I are lucky enough to be able to train together.
Every time we step into the gym, we remind ourselves that we’re not just throwing kicks and punches: we’re building the best version of ourselves.
Performance is not a talent; it’s the result of our choices, especially when no one is watching.
In the gym, you turn effort into focus, mistakes into feedback, and every hit you take into personal evolution. Training means consciously choosing who you want to become in 12 months, not just how you want to feel today.
If you want to use tomorrow as a training ground for high performance, try this:
✅ At the start of the day, define one clear goal that, if achieved, will make you say: “Today was a great day!”
✅ During the day, every time you feel resistance, ask yourself: “What would the version of me who already has the result I want do?” and act accordingly.
✅ At the end of the day, reflect: what was the “hardest hit” you took (mistake, feedback, setback), and what is one concrete thing you will do differently tomorrow because of that?
This way you’re not just training skills, you’re training your mindset, so you can handle pressure without losing clarity.
And you?
In which area of your life are you training your next version? (body, performance, career…)
Which standards are you deciding to raise from today so that your results tell the story of your evolution and not of your excuses?
