One of my favorite spots is the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. I love when I can ride my bike near the water and see the blue herons hunting or watch the deer graze along the edges.

Walk from NoDa 36th St to Uptown and follow blue line CATS through South End for happy hour.
In uptown notice relatively narrow streets, sparse on-street parking, minimal double parking (compared to NYC Avenues).
