I'm forever humbled and grateful to have served our City as mayor. These past four years were filled with challenges, yet we achieved and celebrated so much together.
Thank you, Chicago, for the honor and privilege of a lifetime.
A message from @chicagosmayor to our dedicated City employees.
"Your efforts have made and will continue to make this city a better place. Never forget that. Thank you for serving during my time in office and dedicating your career to transforming Chicago."

@chicagosmayor has achieved financial stability during her term which pays for City investments. We have made $8B in city investments over 3 investment programs, each the largest in the City’s history. It’s been an honor and privilege serving Mayor Lightfoot and Chicago.

As I end my tenure as Mayor, I think about the work we accomplished and the hard-working staff who made it happen, but more importantly, the impact we made in driving equity across every neighborhood in our city.🧵
No matter what is said by critics, pundits, or others, the truth of the work of this administration will live on and be told by the Chicagoans whose lives and neighborhoods have been touched by hard-working public servants.
