I don't think either side "needs" the other. MSG is a legendary building and I think if you're AEW and you could book it, you should do it once just for the symbolism. But long-term, I think there's something to be said for starting your own traditions.

WBD has just guaranteed those chants will happen in the future. What are they going to do now, have every time Brody wrestles be an empty arena match? If they block him from shows completely, those chants are going to happen on cards he's not even on. They've made him a martyr.

I agree with Trevor that the Okada-Takeshita finish in the C2 is a bad move given the promise of the C2. But I can't get to the level of "why do I even bother?" AEW continues to put out the highest level in-ring wrestling of any modern American promotion. That's why! Perspective!

First two matches of Worlds End is a microcosm of modern AEW for me where they do some Diet WWE thing that makes me wonder why I bother and then they love bomb you with an amazing match. It's basically me in relationships, bad habits and grand sweeping romantic gestures.
