Today (Fri 30 Jun) the Town Flag is flying at half-mast on the East Cliff in tribute to former Mayor of Ramsgate (1993), John Kirby, who recently passed away. Mr Kirby’s funeral is today, and our sincere condolences are with his family and friends.

This year's Armed Forces Day Parade and Service will take place on Saturday 24 June. The Parade will leave the Sailor's Church in Military Road at 10.40 am and march along Harbour Parade where a Drumhead Service will take place in the turning circle at 11.00 am.

Last Wednesday I spent a wonderful evening with the children and staff of The Royal Harbour Academy. It was with great pleasure that I met the children and congratulated them as they received their awards and certificates. Well done to all the children.

Armistice Day 2022 Today in Ramsgate we marked Armistice Day with 3 services: Albion Gardens, Ramsgate Cemetery and in the Town centre (Market Square). Thank you to everyone who attended.
