🔌 Rive MCP update just landed in Early Access.
Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible editor to control Rive. Use it to write scripts, design responsive layouts, build State Machines, work with View Models, and more.
Wrapping up the @rive_app project I’ll break down in my newsletter soon. Since it leans into a zine-like aesthetic, I paused to test the new shader feature (Early Access) a bit and see if some xerox/risograph-style effects could make the cut 👀
Been pushing Rive's new 3D and shader support to see what's possible 🚀
Using AI scripting, I was able to:
• Import 3D models
• Generate cameras and lights
• Create custom shaders (wireframe, AO, sketch, toon)
• Build materials
• Project animated textures onto 3D geometry
• Place 2D components directly in 3D space
It's pretty wild to see how quickly Rive is evolving into a true all-in-one platform for interactive design.

Developers shouldn't implement UIs.
Most of their time goes into reverse-engineering 80% of a Figma file into a different framework and freestyling the missing 20%.
