Picked up Defoe’s Journal of the Plague Year. 1665 London. I’d forgotten it was on the shelf. It’s all there. The poor get it worst. Official denial. Epidemic curve. Proven excess mortality. Underreporting. Social distancing, curfews and the best and worst of human responses.
