Vocab/writing tip from @margaretmckeow2: Don’t ask kids to write a sentence with a new vocabulary word - they can fake it! E.g., does “I feel cozy” show understanding? Instead try having them complete a sentence stem: “My cat looks cozy when…” which requires more thinking!

We have been so fortunate to have @HannahBeachEDU partner with some of our @OCSBelementary K-1 educators. There were so many AH-HA moments about play, building relationships and caring leadership! This infographic is only some of the 💡 moments!

I ❤️ using these @SyllaSense pictureless books with our Gr 7/8 buddies. Each week the K student reads book to their buddy, they spend 5 minutes on illustrations, then big buddy reads other chosen books aloud (dialogic reading). After 3-4 sessions they take home to read to family.
