Today we celebrate the 123rd birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, a visionary leader whose dedication to moral and ethical education continues to inspire. In his honor, this day is recognized as Education and Sharing Day, emphasizing the importance of instilling values and character in our youth
Our mission
@MeaningfulMo is to bring the Rebbe’s vision to life by encouraging every school day to begin with a quiet moment of reflection. Just sixty seconds of stillness — a chance for students to think about the values and life lessons shared at home, and carry them with intention into the day ahead.
My friend Rabbi Yanky Baron wrote a powerful op-ed this week in the Baltimore Sun that speaks directly to this need:
“Drowning in Noise, Youth Need a Moment of Silence”

And
@CityJournal recently featured Meaningful Moment and the growing national movement inspired by the Rebbe’s call:
“Schools Should Start Each Day With a Moment of Silence”

As we reflect on the Rebbe’s vision on what education means, let’s recommit to creating space in our children's lives for meaning, values, and self-reflection.
Because one quiet moment — filled with purpose — can shape a lifetime.
