This. Birmingham's culinary scene is going to be suffocated by the influx of low quality crap dragged in by Hammersons and the like. Developers do not foster culture, they fuel mono-slop where we should be highlighting our very best Brummie independent restaurants.
The only people excited about Sticks’n’Sushi coming to Birmingham are the people who are yet to eat there. When are we going to use these central spaces for Brum talent and not another mundane outside chain?
