"Congrats to the thousands of hard working SpaceX employees in El Segundo..." Fixed it for you....
Americans are struggling to pay for groceries and gas while Elon Musk becomes a TRILLIONAIRE. When the federal government is for sale, the rich get richer and everyone else gets shafted. The system is rigged.

"Today we celebrate one of the great American companies, a California company going public..." Oh wait....
F*ck Elon Musk.

Trivia: These are stock quotes from July 1865, just after the end of the civil war. Without googling or asking AI, how many currently traded stocks can you identify that are directly or indirectly descended from them?

But that's the thing....
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth. We need a wealth tax.

If you're sad you didn't get a @SpaceX allocation, I passed on investing 24 times in the $100-200B range. Not that I counted or anything.

USA Investing Quote of the Day: โ€œOver the long term, the stock market news will be good. In the 20th century, the United States endured two world wars and other traumatic and expensive military conflicts; the Depression; a dozen or so recessions and financial panics; oil shocks; a flu epidemic; and the resignation of a disgraced president. Yet the Dow rose from 66 to 11,497.โ€ - Warren Buffett

I know this is an unpopular take, but everything is getting better.
โ€œNearly 900 lives have been saved at Tampa General Hospital in Florida in the four years since it introduced the โ€œgame-changingโ€ Sepsis Hub system, developed in partnership with Palantir.โ€

Unpopular opinion: I don't think most individuals investing in the SpaceX IPO care if they make money on the stock. I think many see it as a contribution, or a donation; they just want to be part of the story. I think they'd prefer to make money, of course, but that's not the main reason.

Everyone: You can teach any subject. Math, tennis, public speaking, reading, biology....except personal finance. That's impossible! If you believe this, it is either a failure of the teacher or the curriculum, or both. But it is absolutely teachable.

Perth's a lot kinder than I would be. Charging unsuspecting individuals a 5% commission* or $100 is fu$king gross. *also described as a foreign settlement fee, a service fee, or an ETF provider fee depending on the various @Fidelity disclosure.
"I don't want to see ETFs going back to the mutual fund dark ages where nobody knows what the fees are. It should be clear, transparent.. and not use the customer as negotiating tool." - @Perth_Tolle on Fidelity's (and Schwab) move to charge ETF issuers for shelf space and how that could stifle innovation and trigger the return of dreaded 12b-1 fee for ETFs w/ @kgreifeld @scarletfu
