At Medrano Junior High, Megan Gudeman co-teaches with 7th-grade ELAR every Friday AND organized a virtual author visit with Yamile Saied Mendez for World Read Aloud Day.
At Walnut Hill International Leadership Academy, Gabriela Palacios mentored nine 7th graders twice a week for six weeks through an intensive novel study of "Barefoot Dreams of Petra Luna" β complete with dialectical journals.

Today we took 39 of Medranoβs finest to the @dallasisdvpa Pre-UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Festival. Our Symphonic Winds earned Superior ratings (1) in their concert evaluation AND sight-reading performance. This group has been working so hard to get better day in and day out.
