Check out my op-Ed in: Victims of domestic violence helped by paid family and medical leave, great partnership with @CTCADV and @CTPaidLeave courant.com/opinion/op-ed/hc…
It’s Purple Thursday, join @CTCADV and our 18 members across CT to raise awareness for domestic violence survivors and their families today. We all have a role to play, start by standing with survivors.
Devastating news, our law enforcement are true partners in our work to reduce domestic violence @CTCADV. Our hearts, prayers, thoughts are with @BristolCTPolice and the families and children impacted by this tragedy.
I am directing flags in Connecticut lowered to half-staff effective immediately in honor of two @BristolCTPolice officers who were killed in the line of duty late last night while responding to an emergency call of domestic violence at a private residence in the town. (1/4)
Special day for victims and survivors of gun violence. Really proud of our President and especially @chrismurphyct for finally making progress toward safer communities in CT and across the country.
Child and family advocates play a crucial role in helping children and non offending parents struggling with domestic violence but the program is underfunded.
To meet the need, the state must do more to help children facing trauma.

We are in the last days of domestic violence awareness month, but let’s not forget that survivors and their children deserve to be heard and helped all year long.
Thank you @richcoppola8 & @WTNH for helping to raise awareness.

Starting today victims of coercive control can obtain a family violence restraining order.
This groundbreaking law will provide court ordered protections for non physical abuse.

I joined @SenBlumenthal & CT gun safety advocates to support legislation to close background check loopholes in online gun marketplaces. This would protect #DV victims. Ensuring background checks to prevent convicted abusers or those under a P.O. from purchasing guns online.

Today I’m filled with mixed emotions. While I will miss working with the amazing team at @WFLC I am honored and humbled to begin work as President & CEO of @CTCADV to help create systemic change at the state level in order to advocate for and improve the lives of more survivors.

I’m really proud to share our brand-new campaign video.
Teachers are nation-builders. That's our job — to affect change, and to improve outcomes. But that's the job of Congress, too. So I'm running for Congress.
