Holograms, virtual reality, robots, 3D walls, digitised human cadavers, AI... I am so jealous I didn't have a DigiLab at uni. This media package has been a huge project for me and PR team - check out this thread or head over to the press release: tinyurl.com/8y4wuwsn
Say hello to Loughborough University’s DIGILABS🤩

Had a nice morning chatting to @LboroVC about the 'world's smallest violin' project - and we all got a snazzy badge🏅✨
Delighted to award a #VCGoldAward to the team behind "the world's smallest violin". The work was covered in over 200 media articles across 17 countries. A great example of explaining cutting-edge science in an engaging manner. @lborouniversity lboro.ac.uk/news-events/news…

And peek the 3D-printed tardigrades I gifted the team 👀 The tardigrade was used as a size comparison in our video and press release - here's footage of the one we featured in the video. I sourced this little water bear from moss near my house ⤵️ x.com/i/status/1842122896598…

A tardigrade taking a walk🌊🐻 Captured this 'water bear' - or 'moss piglet' - with help from @lborogeog and @LboroMaterials (LMCC) colleagues. This small friend is around 250 microns long (for scale, the diameter of a human hair is 80 microns).

Look at this incredible cake Prof Kelly Morrison made the PR team as a thank you for the world’s smallest violin project! Incredibly kind and almost too cool to eat - but I have tucked in and I can now saw I’ve eaten the world’s smallest violin 🎻 😋

What an incredible week of coverage! I can’t believe my silly idea to create a teeny tiny meme to highlight this new tech—and the amazing research it’s enabling—has led to global attention. And Professor Morrison's interviews have been incredible - will share links soon!🎻
It’s music to our ears that this project has been so well received with 100 media appearances across national and international outlets 🎶 We’ll share a round-up of articles, broadcasts, and interviews soon 📺📻📰 Who knew a tiny violin could make such a big splash?!🎻
