Anyone else sense check their actions by the ā€œmum testā€? Here are photos of me and my lovely mum. I’ve been working for nearly 40 years in vet nursing and now policing and I’ve always reflected on the ā€œmum testā€ to decide if what I’ve done is something I can be proud of 1/2

Whether it’s an interaction with a person or a tweet or anything else, I ask myself, if mum was stood over my shoulder and watching, would she feel proud of me and say, ā€œyes, that’s my girlā€. If the answer is no then I know I could and should have done better in that moment 2/2

Thank you to all of you who supported me in 2025. It was largely defined by my cancer battle and then my cancer free diagnosis. I’ve since gained valuable perspective on life and priorities and what truly matters Wishing you all a 2026 filled with love, luck, health & happiness

When terrible things happen it can be easy to believe the world is terrible; it's important to remember that there is far more good than evil. While there are a small number of people who commit horrific acts, there are many more people who will save others from them. 43 year old father of two Ahmed al Ahmed tackled one of the terrorists and disarmed him. He was shot twice. His act of incredible heroism saved lives today. He is the best of us.

Hanukkah is a Festival of Light. It celebrates a miracle where a single jar of oil kept a menorah lit for eight days. Thought I'd just say that on this bleak day.

This is awesome. It’s timely responsive policing by brave officers with an instinctive ā€œcoppers’ noseā€ aided by great fact finding during the initial call/dispatch plus working with CCTV operatives. Joined up policing at its best and a great result in the end. Well done all šŸ™šŸ’™
In just 8 minutes, officers tackled and arrested two men who were robbing people at knife point in Earls Court. The stolen items were returned to victims and another knife was taken off the streets.

EVERYONE has a part to play in #RoadSafety Parents, you have a huge part to play too. Vehicle checks, maintenance, and even being a good role model showing your kids good practice for driving. Your kids will learn from you. #RoadSafetyWeek
