Delighted to co-chair the 8th Indonesia–India Joint Commission Meeting with @DrSJaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India in New Delhi (7/6). We discussed key priorities under the Indonesia–India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, from trade and maritime security to digital connectivity, infrastructure, health and people-to-people ties. Looking forward to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Jakarta. The visit will be an important opportunity to further deepen our cooperation and deliver tangible benefits for our peoples 🇮🇩🤝🇮🇳

Today, FM @tokmatn9 of Malaysia and I co-chaired the 17th Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation 🇮🇩-🇲🇾 in Jakarta (4/6). Our discussions reflected the strength and depth of Indonesia–Malaysia relations, anchored in longstanding historical, cultural, and geographical ties, and further reinforced by our shared commitment as founding members of ASEAN. We agreed to strengthen cooperation on border management, the protection of Indonesian nationals, including migrant workers, and a wide range of strategic sectors that contribute to our shared growth, resilience, and prosperity. Together, 🇮🇩🤝🇲🇾 will continue to work closely to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

Pleased to meet Foreign Minister of Madagascar, H.E. Alice N’Diaye in Jakarta (3/6). We agreed to strengthen our bilateral ties through stronger partnership on various issues: economic and development, education, food and energy security, as well as South-South cooperation. The signing of the MoU to establish Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation and the Agreement on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports is a reflection of our commitment to bolster our cooperation.

At the invitation of the President @prabowo, Foreign Minister @HakanFidan of the Republic of Türkiye, paid a visit to Indonesia (3/6). During his meeting with Foreign Minister Fidan, President @prabowo conveyed his deepest appreciation to H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Government of Türkiye for its invaluable support in facilitating the repatriation of the nine Indonesian nationals who were part of the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 humanitarian mission. The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East, particularly in Iran and Palestine. As fellow countries of the Global South, Indonesia and Türkiye agreed to strengthen coordination in promoting de-escalation and the peaceful resolution of conflicts in the region, while continuing to advocate for justice for the Palestinian people. At the invitation of President @EmmanuelMacron, President @prabowo conducted a State Visit to Paris (28/5), where 🇮🇩-🇫🇷 will elevate their bilateral cooperation through Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Both leaders agreed to advance cooperation in defence, investment, energy transition, and innovation, while supporting the swift implementation of the Indonesia-EU CEPA. Both leaders reaffirmed their support for multilateralism based on international law and also shared views that lasting peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved without justice for the Palestinian people and a credible path toward a two-state solution. The launch of France-Indonesia High-Level Business Council also marked a new chapter of economic partnership between 🇮🇩-🇫🇷

Pleased to meet FM @pabloquirno of Argentina on the sidelines of the UN Security Council Open Debate on Strengthening Multilateralism (26/5). As Indonesia and Argentina mark 70 years of bilateral relations this year, we are committed to further enhancing bilateral cooperation, unlocking new opportunities, and advancing a stronger, more inclusive, and effective multilateral system.

Met FM Wang Yi of China on the sidelines of the Security Council’s Open Debate today (26/5). Congratulated China on its Presidency of the Security Council this month in promoting respect for international law and strengthening multilateralism among Member States. Indonesia and China are committed to promoting peace, stability, and inclusive development 🤝 🇨🇳 and 🇮🇩 will continue to work hand in hand in advancing a more open, balanced, and effective multilateral system. Participated at the UN Security Council High-Level Open Debate on “Upholding the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter and Strengthening the UN Centered-International System” (UNHQ, New York, 26/5). Reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to international law, multilateralism, and strengthening the voice of the Global South. At a time of growing global challenges, strengthening multilateralism requires renewed commitment to the UN Charter, peaceful resolution of disputes, and the central role of the UN. Upholding UN Charter also requires our strong commitment to end humanitarian catastrophe and advancing a just and lasting peace for Palestine.

Alhamdulillah. Hari ini, 24 Mei 2026, 9 WNI relawan Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) 2.0 telah tiba kembali di Indonesia dengan selamat.  Terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam upaya pembebasan ini. Keselamatan dan pelindungan WNI merupakan prioritas diplomasi Indonesia. Negara hadir untuk melindungi setiap warga negaranya, di mana pun mereka berada.

Pemerintah Indonesia menyampaikan bahwa 9 (sembilan) WNI yang tergabung dalam Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 yang ditahan oleh militer Israel telah tiba dengan selamat di Istanbul, Türkiye (21/5). Pemerintah Indonesia saat ini terus berkoordinasi dengan pihak-pihak terkait untuk memastikan proses pemulangan seluruh WNI ke tanah air berjalan dengan lancar sehingga seluruh WNI dapat tiba kembali dengan selamat dan sesegera mungkin. Indonesia mengecam keras tindakan penyiksaan yang dilakukan oleh Israel terhadap WNI pada saat penahanan. Indonesia kembali menekankan bahwa segala bentuk tindakan yang tidak manusiawi terhadap relawan Global Sumud Flotilla oleh militer Israel merupakan pelanggaran terhadap hukum internasional dan bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip kemanusiaan.

Indonesia mengutuk tindakan yang tidak manusiawi terhadap relawan Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 yang dilakukan oleh Israel. Tindakan tersebut bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip kemanusiaan. Indonesia kembali menekankan bahwa tindakan militer Israel terhadap armada Global Sumud Flotilla dan relawan yang tergabung didalamnya adalah pelanggaran nyata terhadap hukum internasional. Pemerintah Indonesia terus fokus melakukan berbagai upaya untuk membebaskan seluruh WNI yang ditangkap. Sejak awal keberangkatan armada Global Sumud Flotilla, Kemlu RI dan juga Perwakilan RI terkait telah melakukan koordinasi erat dengan berbagai pihak guna memastikan keselamatan dan pelindungan WNI. Pelindungan WNI merupakan prioritas utama. Pemerintah Indonesia akan terus mengawal proses pembebasan hingga seluruh WNI dapat kembali dengan selamat ke tanah air secepatnya.

Dalam Rapat Kerja Komisi I DPR RI hari ini (20/5), saya menyampaikan perkembangan geopolitik global dan isu-isu strategis, termasuk upaya diplomasi Indonesia dalam menjaga ketahanan energi serta situasi terkait eskalasi konflik di kawasan Timur Tengah. Saya menekankan bahwa pelindungan WNI di luar negeri terus menjadi prioritas utama pemerintah. Indonesia juga akan terus memperkuat diplomasinya melalui kerja sama erat di berbagai tingkatan, termasuk di ASEAN dan BRICS. Terima kasih kepada Pimpinan dan seluruh Anggota Komisi I DPR RI atas dialog yang konstruktif. Kemitraan yang erat dengan DPR RI, khususnya Komisi I, sangat penting bagi efektivitas diplomasi Indonesia ke depan.

Saya menerima audiensi jajaran pengurus baru Dewan Pengurus Asosiasi Diplomat Indonesia (ADI) (19/5). Saya sampaikan dukungan penuh bagi program kerja ADI 2026–2028 untuk semakin memperkuat peran diplomat dalam memajukan diplomasi Indonesia. Saya juga tekankan pentingnya perhatian bagi para diplomat, yang sejalan dengan tujuan pembentukan ADI sebagai wadah penguatan korps diplomatik Indonesia.
