A police dog vehicle carrying PD Ike and PD Dobby was rammed during a pursuit. The vehicle later crashed and the driver made off on foot. PD Poppy was deployed to assist, and she wasn't having that. A short search later, the offender was located hiding nearby. Good girl Poppy 👏

🚔 A wanted male was believed to be travelling in a vehicle. Following a coordinated stop by RPU and the Dog Unit, the vehicle was successfully stung and brought to a halt. The male was detained, and PD Dobby searched the vehicle, locating cannabis resin. 🐾👏

Last night officers requested the assistance of new boy PD Dobby to search a suspicious vehicle. Littered with rubbish and other distractions Dobby stuck to task and located a wallet containing a quantity of cash hidden amongst the mess #thenoseknows

Last night Matrix officers pursued a male on foot before stopping him in his tracks. PD Obi was requested to assist in identifying why he refused to stop & It didn’t take him long to locate a quantity of drugs thrown into thick bushes by the male #nicetry #thenoseknows 👏

A male smashed up a car before making off from officers. Also wanted for assault and breaching a court order. PD JoJo was deployed and quickly located the offender hiding in a nearby garden. Male arrested and taken into custody. Great result for this new dog team 👏Good boy JoJo!

Yesterday @MerPolTraffic pursued a vehicle before 4 males fled on foot. 1 was detained on the hard shoulder M57 as he was seen to throw an item into undergrowth. PD Obi was on scene & fought his way through thick heavy brambles to find said item #drugsrecovered #determination

PD JoJo was deployed after a male made off from patrols linked to county lines activity. JoJo searched overgrown hedges after the suspect was seen discarding items and located cannabis. A search of a nearby entry also led to a mobile phone being recovered. Clever Boy JoJo🐾

PD Buddy was tasked to search a park after a male made off from an address and hid there. Searching the route believed to have been taken, Buddy located a large quantity of cocaine the male had discarded. Another good result for Buddy 👌

This week PD Reggie assisted patrols after a male was detained in Liverpool City Centre. This resulted in Reggie searching an alleyway that was littered with rubbish. Reggie stuck to task amongst many distractions and located drugs that had been discarded by a male #thenoseknows

PD Buddy was asked to search a vehicle after the driver was seen driving erratically. Buddy quickly located a quantity of cocaine hidden inside the vehicle. Despite being concealed in a “smell-proof” bag, it was no match for Buddy’s nose. #TheNoseKnows

Last night 3 males stole a quantity of timber from a construction site in St.Helens. PD Ziggy attended & tracked the offenders through woodland & fields before locating 1 male. A 2nd male fled into gardens but after a challenge to come out, he presented from a bush #arrested 👏🪵

Not content with one prisoner on his 1st set of shifts, PD Ghost found a male hiding in gardens after making off from a stolen car. He then used his nose to locate a set of car keys the offender thought he had hidden well. #TheNoseKnows

What a start for new dog PD Ghost! On just his 3rd operational shift, he bagged a burglar. Tracking through fields before locating him hiding in a barn under hay bales, Ghost then found property hidden by the male after causing thousands of pounds of damage. Good Boy, Ghost 👏

Yesterday we sadly said goodbye to retired PD Falco after a short illness. Licensed in 2017, Falco served Merseyside Police with strength, drive and unwavering loyalty until retiring in 2023, spending years alongside handler Steve protecting the public. Run Free, Falco 💙🐾
