FOUR YEAR IMPROVED SURVIVAL by using SherpaPak instead of ice. In the transplant journey, preservation plays a small short term role but with moderate hypothermia via the SherpaPak the potential long term benefit can be significant!

The GUARDIAN-Heart Registry collects thousands of data points to help redefine preservation standards. Most recently, investigators presented 4-year mortality rates of U.S. adult heart recipients using the SherpaPak vs ice. A significant 54% decrease (p=0.018) was discovered, with enhanced survival rates at each yearly interval compared to traditional ice: mpo-mag.com/breaking-news/pa…

Congrats @yshudo1007 and the Stanford CT team on this case with @ParagonixSherpa BAROguard, our new second generation active lung device that maintains inflation pressure as well as consistent moderate hypothermic pressure during transport and storage of donor lungs.
