@philinmerthyr gave a presentation on our group at the #ActiveTravelCPG chaired by @huw4ogmore today. The focus was removing barriers to cycling. It was brilliant to be able to share the work that we do. Our #inclusive #social activities and use of community bikes are free.

Weβve been working with @MerthyrCBC to help make our trails accessible in line with equality and active travel standards. I came over Cefn Viaduct this morning and the new barrier is brilliant. Much easier for pushchairs, wheelchairs and non standard bikes to use the Taff Trail.

Following our campaign to remove barriers that prohibit equal access across Merthyr a report to the Merthyr CBC Rights of Way Committee and a discussion at the 20th July committee meeting has resulted in a decision to remove barriers on the Taff, Trevithick and Celtic Trails.

Love it!
Today was an extreme new bike day with n 10. We took delivery of 10 bikes, helmets, locks and LED lights supplied by @EC_Cycles and paid for through @sportwales @TNLUK #healthyandactivefund Canβt wait to get them used in the community. #inclusive #social #cycling @ActiveMerthyr
