ALT Gif of Tom Hanks from the movie Sleepless in Seattle. Hanks blows on his finger tips then rubs his hands together like he's done something really well. He smiles, then arcs his hand up (like a fox pouncing), extends his index finger, and pushes "send" on the laptop in front of him.
We (@commnatural and @vgwschutte) resist the notion of “work-life balance.” Too many mutually exclusive vibes. ⚖ Plus, in a lot of #SciComm, work and life are already so stinkin’ integrated. We aim for work-life *harmony* 👉meteorscicomm.org/2021/11/15…

Boundaries come up in #SciComm coaching and mentorship, too, when we work to:
- improve comms! but can't force a client to follow our recommendations 🙄
- help someone grow! w/o getting too involved
- say goodbye! knowing we won't learn how a mentee's story ends

What about you- what keeps you up at night? Work-life harmony = active decisions, not passive participation. We won't always get things the way we want them, but we’re trying.
