Some news: excited to share that I'm building @dittobio with @AdairLBorges and @emilycpierce as part of the @ycombinator W26 batch! We're discovering drugs for autoimmune disease by harnessing parasite biology. Shout out @agupta for betting on us. šŸ”— below:

We’re launching @trybaseframe to take you from AI fatigued to AI native. You already have the AI tools. What you don't have is the time to figure out what to actually do with them, which features are useful to you, and how to use them. BaseFrame does that for you. Its desktop app finds the repetitive work eating your week that you could automate today with the AI tools you already have. Download the app and start unlocking hours today. Link below:

Keytruda transformed cancer care and made Merck more money than any drug in history. It was also discovered by accident, and nearly out-licensed in 2010 for pocket change. New Approved exclusive interviews with the inventors and the Merck CMO who ran development:

The genomics revolution told us which genes cause disease. What if small molecules could target the genetic message? CRISPR-level precision, in a pill. Endura Insights #1: why the genomics revolution is only half finished. enduratx.com/blog/the-genomi…

Thrilled to be building with Pioneer!
🧬 @dittobio is utilizing parasite strategies for developing breakthrough drugs for autoimmune disease. Why parasites? They've been running experiments on humans for millions of years being able to control the human immune system. Ditto is building an AI platform to identify drug-like proteins from these types of organisms which they then engineer into safe, effective therapeutics. 🦠 🪲 🪱 They are just getting started and have already analyzed over a million proteins across primate-infecting viruses, ticks, and parasitic worms. Initial discovery is looking promising! @pioneer_fund is proud to back these three PhD scientists! Congratulations @AdairLBorges, @Mezarque, and @emilycpierce. Excited to partner with you!

Founder multitasking: - listening to a talk on lipid nanoparticle-mediated immune tolerance… - while stress-buying domain names and emailing cloud providers to kill a spoofed website. At @dittobio we copy nature’s playbook to treat disease. šŸ‘Æ Today, someone tried copying us.

It’s been an incredible 10 months of science at @dittobio, and I’m excited to share some of our progress in our first blog post. Today, we're sharing our analysis mapping parasite proteins and human diseases they could treat. dittobio.com/blog/2025-03-02…

We highlight how viruses can teach us to find drug targets and even design therapeutic molecules. For example, viruses were the first to invent drugs like Enbrel (etanercept). (green: TNF; orange: etanercept; blue: a viral protein) Reach out if you want to learn more!

My top 2 themes from this year's @Biocom Global Partnering & Investor Conference #BiocomGPIC: 1. AI's impact in drug discovery development 2. China <> US competition & collaboration Every panel conversation kept returning to these two areas. More in thread: 1/n

China (cont'd): - for US companies to stay competitive, capital efficiency is king - revisions to the regulatory landscape around starting clinical trials (e.g. centralized systems like in AUS/NZ) improved speed to human evidence could level the playing field 4/n

Vapid, grifting, rage bait-driven startups do a disservice to the broader ecosystem b/c the public ( media class) over-indexes on stories like these. Most founders I know are good, kind, serious people trying to solve real problems. A shame the grifters get outsized attention
ā€œUntil we build an all-powerful but distant God, the agency problem remains. AIs are not capable of directing themselves; most people aren’t either.ā€ Sam Kriss reports from San Francisco on the next generation of AI technologists. harpers.org/archive/2026/03/…
