Ulla Jasper: As a philanthropy @FondationBotnar, this is a truly meaningful project to support. It is important to recognise the opportunity we have to contribute to an initiative of this nature - one that is relevant, significant, and capable of creating lasting impact in the communities it serves. #WHA79 #CostsOfConnection

$11.34bn pledged @globalfund replenishment summit last night. EC, Japan, France, Sweden, China, Gulf States all still to pledge. They must make significant pledges to get at least a total of 14bn and secure the full US 2:1 match! My & partner analysis: bit.ly/43OAAfE

Game-changing new drugs mean we can now end AIDS by 2030 if we choose to. @YinkaIlori_’s artwork is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when we choose hope. @10downingstreet & @yvettecoopermp please maintain a pledge of £1 billion to the @globalfund & choose to #EndAIDS!

We’re not safe until we’re all safe. This week, the Conservatives outlined plans to cut the UK’s ODA should they win the next election. This would result millions of unnecessary deaths, many from the world’s most life-threatening diseases. Full response ➡️bit.ly/4mSE7jB

Melanie Scagliarini underlined that resilient healthcare systems are the backbone of HIV prevention — a lesson made painfully clear during COVID-19. She stressed that continued ODA cuts will make the 2030 goal impossible to reach.

.@MichaelPodmore, CEO of @STOPAIDS, spoke candidly about how recent aid cuts have hit the global HIV response hard, warning that years of progress could be lost without renewed commitment from the UK and its allies. The science is ready, it’s the political will that must catch up.

The message was clear: this isn’t just about numbers or funding targets, it’s about real lives right now, and in the future. Britain has been a world leader in the fight against HIV. With courage, compassion and consistency, it still can be. #CPC25 @LGBTCons @STOPAIDS @AFGHnetwork

See STOPAIDS statement also celebrating this huge step - making game-changing Lenacapavir affordable & catapult the HIV response forward. stopaids.org.uk/2025/09/26/s…
To stop the spread of HIV, prevention medicines must be more affordable. Soon a lenacapavir treatment will cost just $40 a year for 120 lower-income countries. A landmark price drop agreed by @UNITAID and @CHAI_health - with UK backing - to protect people all over the world.

Inequality is rising & the UK government is cutting vital public services. Enough is enough. 📢On the eve of the budget, we went out with 20 charities & trade unions, and hundreds of you, to demand that Chancellor @RachelReevesMP tax the super-rich, instead of cutting welfare.

We stand in solidarity with activists mobilising outside of Parliament and fighting the deadly cuts to UK aid. The government has other means to increase its revenues, rather than stripping the UK's contribution to saving lives and building a safer world for all.
