I’m in a teacher group on FB that other people can also join. So many people are bashing teachers for saying we shouldn't go back to school. I WANT to go back to school & be with my kids, but I don't want to die, or get anyone else sick. I miss & worry about my kids constantly(1)

supply a good majority of my kids with supplies because they can't buy them on their own. My district had MAJOR budget cuts this year, and I don't have money to buy shields and dividers for my whole class to stay safe. I want parents to be able to go to work and make money (4)

I understand families are struggling. I want to help them. It’s a huge problem that our country can’t figure out how to keep everyone safe and help people provide for their families. I don’t know the solution. I'm just so sad that so many people are against teachers. (5)

(1/ ) Today was the last day in my classroom for awhile! It’s an odd feeling to not know when I’m going back. I had a Google Meet with my class, which is pictured. The kids LOVED it! They showed off their rooms, pets, and siblings. I feel like so much more than their teacher.

(4/ ) I hope they know that everyday, when we check in, I'll be there for them just like I am during the school day. I can tell you one thing, though, seeing their smiling faces today couldn’t help but make me happy. They're so sweet and innocent!

(5/ ) I want them to stay that way. So everyday, no matter what, they can count on me to be their for them, and help them out in any way possible! Teaching is so much more than just teaching content. And I love it.
