'Goodnight Punpun' author Inio Asano comments on the Manga ONE controversy, calling for a change to Shogakukan as a whole
"Regarding Manga ONE. As someone currently serialized by Shogakukan, I feel compelled to speak out.
Shogakukan should not treat this as an issue limited to the Manga ONE editorial department, but rather confront it as a company-wide problem.
In particular, I strongly urge the company to take responsible and concrete action—such as providing financial compensation for the significant loss of opportunities suffered by original series creators on Manga ONE, and, if they wish, securing new serialization placements for them."
