We congratulate Daniela Silva on the occasion of her master’s thesis defense. Her fine work dealt with the eco-genomics of the Endozoicomonadaceae family and the description of a novel Endozoicomonas species isolated from an octocoral host. Well done, Master Daniela!

Former students and collaborators of Jan Dirk van Elsas at #Isme19. Many others were in the audience and all of us agree how fun and creative it was to work with him. A very well deserving James Tiedje award! With @GBerg_ubt@peixotors@Rosado_AS
Jan Dirk van Elsas gave a great Tiedje Award presentation.
I had the pleasure to be one of the dozens PhD students from Dick and I am grateful for the doors he opened for me.
Thank you!
