Altuve and Paredes both had the day off. Joe Espada hates sweeping. They simply aren’t even trying on Sundays.

Espada’s track record says they won’t get the win tomorrow, but this is a bad KC team. Would be huge to take all 3 games and secure a winning road-trip.

They win another wild one in Kansas City. Burrows was lousy tonight, but the bats picked up the pitching once again. They slugged four homers and waited out a 1.5 hour rain delay. They’ll go for the sweep tomorrow.

People keep saying the #Royals batted around twice tonight.
That’s not accurate. They did send nine hitters to the plate twice. But “batting around” doesn’t apply until the tenth hitter comes to the plate. There has to be a guy that hits twice in the same inning.

Yordan hit 2 homers and had 6 RBIs. Walker and Matthews also homered. Pitching on both sides was horrible tonight.

Hunter Brown and Cristian Javier should mean Mike Burrows heads to Sugar Land.
Let him refine his game and rehabilitate himself in a low-pressure situation.
If the Astros are going to make up ground in the AL West, these are steps that must happen.

Hard to believe you even have to say this in a game they led 9-0 in the 1st inning, but they need more runs.
They’ve had opportunities too. Probably should have 11 or 12 runs already. KC has actually pitched that bad tonight.
