Have you considered the idea that, for some women, we actually enjoy the same thing about these games that men enjoy?
When it changes to "cater to women" it literally destroys the things I enjoy.
This isn't about men vs women, or any kind of divide.
Its a statement that I, as an individual woman, know and understand that what I enjoy about gaming is the same thing men enjoy about gaming - which is the same thing many other women enjoyed about gaming.
I keep being told by society I don't have to conform to gender norms, but the second I make a statement acknowledging a place where I fall outside gender norms I'm a "pick me" because I'm not advocating for games accommodate women, when doing that literally destroys what I love about gaming.
