Council voted to extend Laconia’s Social District to 9 PM. More time downtown means stronger foot traffic, stronger revenue, and a city that keeps moving forward not one that shuts down at 8.

Friday well spent meeting with business owners in Laconia alongside Mayor Mike Bordes. Small businesses like these are the backbone of New Hampshire, and they’re a big reason I’m running for Congress. Government’s job is not to make life harder for the people creating jobs, serving their communities, and keeping our economy moving. Its job is to get out of the way, be accountable, and stop wasting money. When I get to Washington, I’ll fight for lower costs, less red tape, fiscal responsibility, and a government that works for Granite Staters - not special interests.

Tracey, my fiancee/wife, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had surgery April 29 and now starts chemo with a port placed yesterday. Watching her fight this breaks me, but her strength is unreal. Life will look different for a while she’s not walking this road alone.

Approved last night: Social Districts are coming to Downtown Laconia and we’ll be the first city in New Hampshire to launch one. A big step forward for downtown activity, local business, and a more vibrant Laconia.

I offered a clean way to correct course by disbanding the Appointments Subcommittee.That lifeline was rejected. So I acted. Clear RSA 91‑A violations undermined our appointments process, and I removed Councilors Soucy and Hildreth. It wasn’t personal or political it was necessary

Monday night I’ll ask the Council to disband the Appointments Committee. It adds no value. Every applicant should come before the full Council in a public, recorded meeting no side rooms, no gatekeeping, no filtering.
