#OTD in #history, 1804, the 12th Amendment was ratified. After the bellicose 1796 & 1800 elections, it placed Presidential & VP candidates on separate electoral ballots. In so doing, it helped remedy a blind spot in the #Constitution: opposing parties in the same administration.

This week will be notable for significant celebrations. On Friday, I will be commemorating my 66th birthday. On Sunday, I will observe Father's Day and mark the 40th pastoral anniversary of my service as a United Methodist pastor in the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. Additionally, I have previously served in ministry within the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church as both a pastor and an associate pastor. I have really been in ministry for 42 years. ⛪️
