UPDATE: We are investigating an untimely death that occurred in the parking lot of 1365 Boston Post Rd. The incident appears to be isolated with no threat to the public. It is an ongoing investigation in coordination with the OCME. No further details at this time.

At approximately 0815hrs, officers notified Milford Public Schools of a potential threat to elementary schools which was received via email. It has been determined that this threat was a hoax, originating from overseas. MPD will continue its presence at Milford Schools today.

North Broad St. Will be closed between River St and High St. this evening from approximately 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for the DMBA Night Market. South Broad St. will remain open.

Merwin Ave just south of Oxford Rd will be closed between Lilac Ln and Rock Ln for a motor vehicle accident. Please avoid the area.

North St will be closed just north of Eisenhower Park between Kozlowski Rd and Woodruff Rd due to some downed trees and power lines. Please avoid the area. The detour will be Woodruff Rd right on to Orange Ave and right on to Kozlowski Rd.

Milford Police along with other agencies are on scene behind 311 Old Gate Lane regarding a fire at a homeless encampment. One person was pronounced deceased on scene. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available.

TOMORROW, June 6th, Milford Police will be running the CT Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run! We will be taking off from the Stratford town line around 3:47pm and running along Route 1 with the Torch all the way to Orange! Please expect traffic delays along Route 1.

After approximately 36 hours, the male subject on Pullman Drive surrendered himself without incident and was taken into custody. Milford Police Detective Bureau secured a search warrant for the premise for weapons. Milford Police remain on scene as the investigation is on going.
