Dear Cyber Defense Media Group team members, readers, viewers, listeners, writers, partners, customers, and friends,
There are moments in the life of a nation that ask us to pause.
Memorial Day is one of them.
Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in military service to the United States of America. We also recognize the families who carry that loss forward every day. Their sacrifice made possible the freedoms we live with, the opportunities we pursue, and the work we are privileged to do.
For those members of our Cyber Defense Media Group family who have served, and for those whose loved ones have served or made the ultimate sacrifice, please know that we hold you in our thoughts with deep respect and gratitude.
Memorial Day began as a simple and solemn act of remembrance, with families and communities placing flowers on the graves of the fallen after the Civil War. What started quietly, with flowers, prayers, and the speaking of names, became a lasting national tradition. It reminds us that freedom is never free, and that every name, every uniform, and every folded flag represents a life, a family, and a legacy.
At Cyber Defense Media Group, our mission is rooted in protecting people, organizations, critical infrastructure, and the digital freedoms that help sustain our way of life. While our work is in cybersecurity, media, education, innovation, and awareness, we never forget that these freedoms were defended first by those who stood in harm’s way.
To our readers, viewers, listeners, writers, partners, and customers, thank you for being part of a community that believes in vigilance, resilience, service, and responsibility.
Today, we pause.
We remember.
We honor what was given.
And we recommit ourselves to doing meaningful work worthy of the freedoms we have inherited.
With gratitude and respect,
Gary S. Miliefsky
