Crucial to closing the 15 year mortality gap for people with schizophrenia is better prevention and treatment of CVD in this population. STEP offers cooking classes, physical exercise psychoeducational training to improve the physical health of patients, and reduce risk of CVD.

STEP held its first successful cooking group! Our goal is to support our young adults in developing a holistically healthful lifestyle. 7 patients prepared a bruschetta appetizer and butternut squash, broccoli rabe, and a garbanzo bean dish, all of which was delicious! #NewHaven
