Since launch, Ore Protocol has repurchased ~$29m worth of $ORE, equivalent to roughly 7.6% of Pumpfun's cumulative buybacks (~$380m).
While both protocols operate different business models, Pumpfun provides a useful reference point for evaluating the scale of ORE buyback activity.
Over the past week, Ore Protocol repurchased about ~$900k worth of $ORE. Compared to Pumpfun's $3.1m of buybacks during the same period, ORE buybacks were about 29% of Pumpfun's weekly total (approx 0.28x of Pumpfun).

The edge isn't in predicting EV. It's in having a strategy that works whether you're monitoring or not.

Ruby automates what informed miners do manually - just with more perks, partial solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp claims anyone?
When EV is present, some form of game theory and edge tend to emerge.
This can be seen in $ORE, where miners who deploy within the last 20 slots of a round consistently achieve a higher average P&L for the round.
A likely explanation is that informed miners monitor tile EV in real time and only commit SOL at the last moment when favorable opportunities appear, resulting in timing games within ORE mining. These opportunities are usually created by miners who deploy <25 squares randomly without optimizing for EV (could be punting for motherlode or just uninformed mining).
The late deployers tend to be far more selective, aiming to maximize EV rather than to simply participate in mining.
Implication of this is that for more passive autominers, deploying small amounts evenly across all 25 squares is likely a better strategy than randomly selecting <25 squares, especially if they are not actively monitoring EV throughout the round.
