Yesterday was spent opening up the parapet of West Huntspill โช๏ธ on the edge of the #Somerset Levels. This is a nodal point for wildlife. A Marsh Harrier and Peregrine flew by. Itโs a roost for Egrets and home to the rarest mammal in Britain - the Grey Long eared Bat

Peter the churchwarden brought this piece of copper alloy to show me as I was sweeping up yesterday. โMy son found this in yon field and I thought you should see it before you goโ @findsorguk reported that it was from a Limoges enamel Reliquary dated about 1180.

The C15th #Easter sepulchre at S Pool #Devon is rather rudely occupied by the tomb and effigy of Thomas Briant, rector there in the early C16th. At the back of the recess is a defaced carving of the Resurrection. Repaired & recorded by us @MinervaStone
