Just watched an Azuki TCG unboxing by @Minhute
NGL I'm regretting not picking up packs during the online sale
- The art is incredible
I've been ripping Riftbound packs and don't care about most cards outside of the hits. For Azuki, I wanted to look at every single one
- Branding is amazing
Everything from the packaging, box design, etc. is up to par with Azuki's usual branding
- Beans are a great bonus for them
As he pulled Bean cards, he took time to look at the art, put them aside to show his girlfriend and even said "I'm going to start a bean collection"
They are definitely at a disadvantage in terms of mainstream brand recognition and character lore compared to existing TCGs. Even Minhooty says "I don't know anything about Azuki". This explains why they want to produce an Anime.
As for the game, I don't know if it's good or not.
