Is this for real? New OCI forms for foreign spouses requires certified birth certificates of their great grand parents as well...

There is such beauty in Indian artisanal works and there is added magic when it's connected with history. Love this instalation at B'lore's T2. Its inspired by the architecture and motifs of Hampi.

Thankfully @Olacabs @ola_supports have responded positively. I do hope action is taken. It is so disturbing for those of us who use these car rides to catch up on work
Yeah Mini, it's the norm in Benguluru Uber is slightly better...👍 Even those Rapido bike guys in there no exception..u👍

What's with drivers @Olacabs @ola_supports in Bengaluru They are perpetually on phone calls through the ride. This is specific to this city. Not in Mumbai, Delhi or anywhere else. Is Uber the same? Are there no rules around driving and talking on the phone here?

Great to hear this! Have often wondered why no one has written about him... Fascinating man and what a body of work he has left behind.
OKAY OKAY! This is now REAL and while I'm nervous as hell and while the world is burning, I'm still really excited because this has been 5 years & a pandemic in the making. Preorders for the biography of KM Panikkar are open! Available at bookstores near you & online! ✨

Tomorrow marks the death anniversary of Rani Lakshmibai. Everytime I come across her image I think of the little boy she had strapped to her back as she fought. Here is an old LHI classic on what happened to him... peepultree.world/livehistory…

Sad to hear of the passing of Historian Dr. M G S Narayanan. Thankful to have had the chance to spend time with him over the years, learning so much. His book on The Perumals of Kerala remains the most authoritative study of this formative phase of Kerala's history. RIP

3/ Yet, despite their contributions, most women artisans remain invisible in India’s workforce. The government counts 7 million crafters in the country. The real number? 200 million. A lot of them are women.

4/ This Women’s Day, let’s move beyond just celebrating success stories. We must acknowledge, support, and uplift the millions of women who are shaping India’s craft economy. It’s time to count them in. #WomenWeavingChange #CraftingFutures #InternationalWomensDay

1/ In a quiet corner of Anjar, I sat with Rabari women as they stitched fine embroidery onto cushions. 🧵✨ What was once a craft meant only for a bride’s trousseau is now an economic force, empowering families and shaping futures.

2/ As their embroidery work grew, so did their confidence. 💪🏽 Some used their earnings to educate their children. Others to support their families through tough times. More women joined in. Young girls learned the skill, ensuring financial security for generations.
