Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir reportedly urged the political-security cabinet to detain Lebanese women and children as part of a psychological pressure strategy. He called for moving beyond conventional tactics and targeting freedom fighters’ social and family structure.

Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip killed 10 Palestinians, including displaced civilians, and injured at least 20 others over the last 24 hours. The attacks targeted tents sheltering displaced families, civilian gatherings, and residential areas, while two homes were destroyed in Khan Younis and Al-Maghazi. Among those killed was 25-year-old Muhannad Farwana, who was killed by an Israeli airstrike just hours before his scheduled wedding.

Over the last three days, Israeli occupation authorities forced the Awadallah family in Qalandia, north of occupied Jerusalem, to carry out the self-demolition of their homes on the grounds of lacking building permits. The family was compelled to demolish seven inhabited houses, six of them on Saturday and a seventh the day before, in order to avoid heavy fines and demolition costs that would have been imposed if the Israeli authorities had carried out the operation themselves.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights condemned the torture and mistreatment of Palestinian detainees held by Israel, calling for independent investigations into deaths, abuse, and sexual violence in Israeli prisons. UN spokesperson Thameen Al-Kheetan said the abuses appear systematic and include reports of rape, including against minors. The UN said it has verified the deaths of at least 90 deaths among Palestinian detainees in Israeli custody since October 2023, including a 17-year-old boy who showed signs of severe starvation.

An armed Israeli settler blindfolded and kidnapped a Palestinian man near the village of Beit Iksa in the occupied West Bank, dragging him onto a road as Israeli forces stood nearby. The Palestinian farmer was reportedly trying to reach his land before he was captured.

An activist commented that Israel's legislation allowing the death penalty (by hanging) for attacks that "deny the existence of Israel" is hypocritical and racist, since Jewish perpetrators face no such penalty. She frames Israel as an illegal occupier running a "fascistic killing machine," and highlights torture in Israeli prisons, child arrests, settler violence, and references cases like Hind Rajab while defending armed resistance under international law. She also decries noose pins being celebrated publicly.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Farra, head of pediatrics and maternity at Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza, says the hospital receives about 160 malnutrition cases each week. He explains that ongoing Israeli restrictions have sharply reduced the quality and availability of food, forcing many families to rely on canned and frozen items, sometimes expired. Al-Farra warns that malnutrition has persisted for nearly three years, putting children at serious risk of long-term health and developmental problems. He adds that 60 to 70 percent of children in Gaza suffer from anemia, along with nearly 60 percent of pregnant women.

On World Press Freedom Day, Gaza records the highest targeting of journalists. According to the Government Media Office, 262 journalists were deliberately killed during the Israeli genocide. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) also reports that Israeli forces were responsible for over 43% of global journalist killings in 2025, with nearly 220 total journalist deaths in Gaza since October 2023. RSF and other organizations suggest many of these fatalities were targeted actions rather than accidental casualties.

Early morning, 16-year-old Palestinian Mohammad Majdi Al-Jaabari was killed after being run over by a convoy belonging to Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir in Beit Einun, north of Hebron. Meantime, Israeli army radio reported that a vehicle belonging to the Magen unit, responsible for securing ministers and senior officials in the Prime Minister's Office, struck the child. Sources said he was riding a bicycle at the time and suffered severe injuries before being pronounced dead.
