today’s song recommendation is Magnetic... maybe because I like the idea of someone looking at me the same way a magnet forgets every other direction.

I kept looking at my reflection in the window instead of my phone. the pink in my hair turned softer every time we passed a streetlight, and the blue in my eyes faded into the night outside. I like to think you’d catch yourself looking at me just a secon longer than you meant to.
I left the house because staying in felt too heavy. the thought of buying an iced coffee and making it last until evening just so I’d have something to hold. and it would be more fun if you accompanied me, wouldn’t it?
Fortune sat across from me with gold dust on her sleeves. “some people chase miracles,” she said, “but they seem to enjoy finding you first.” I laughed, and somehow every traffic light turned green.
people like to call girls like me sirens, as if every flash photo is a form of persuasion. I think that’s too romantic, I’ve never been interested in drawing people closer. maybe sirens were simply misunderstood, mistaken for temptation by those who couldn’t stop looking.

Anthropologists note that many cultures keep children’s lost teeth as records of growth rather than loss. perhaps I’ve misunderstood change all along. what leaves us isn’t always taken from us. some things depart to prove that we’re becoming, and that, too, deserves preserving.
the clinic was full of white things, even the light seemed carefully folded, resting on every surface like lace. I spent the day holding a tiny tooth-shaped trophy. such a strange little object. it belonged in the palm of a child, or at the bottom of a treasure box.
𝘐𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘉𝘺 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦, the words sat quietly in my notebook all day. Katseye, Le Sserafim, and Illit shared the same page, like three stars finding one another in the same piece of sky.
summer always arrives with little plans of its own. somehow, the season always finds a way to fill my days with sunshine and places worth wandering through. and for all of it, I’ll be keeping Pocari Sweat close by to carry a little coolness with me. Xoxo
Aphrodite looked at me as if she knew every version of my heart. “you’re pretty and sweet,” she said, and I carried those words home without needing permission.
the ribbons were still resting where they belonged, and the songs that had followed me for weeks seemed softer somehow. I lingered beneath the familiar lights, collecting the last petals of this chapter. if you looked at me today, I hope your heart hesitated for a second.
